The Pauline Robinson Library Addition was designed to give the community an updated library space that supports current and future needs. The project enhances functionality while creating flexible gathering and programming areas, with a design that respects budget and aesthetics.
HCL provided structural engineering design for the 1,000-square-foot addition to the Pauline Robinson Library. Services included analyzing and reinforcing the existing exterior shear wall with supplemental nailing and new post-installed holdowns to accommodate increased lateral loads, as well as designing new handrail details and strengthening wood walls to support final loading conditions.
