Our office is located in the Denver Tech Center off Orchard Road and I-25, or a 10-15 minute walk from the RTD Orchard Station.

ARCHITECTURAL PROJECT MANAGER / PROJECT ARCHITECT

Job Summary:

HCL is seeking an experienced, thorough, and detail-oriented Project Manager/Project Architect looking to develop their skills within a new architectural department at an established multi-disciplinary firm. We anticipate that the person who fills this position will be well-rounded in a variety of building types (retail, office, civic/cultural, residential, mixed-use, municipal) with a passion for sustainable, purposeful, and in situ architecture. Working alongside other in-house disciplines of Civil Engineers, Structural Engineers, and Professional Land Surveyors will ensure a cohesive design approach, which HCL leverages for streamlined project management for its public and private sector clients. HCL uses Revit and the Autodesk Construction Cloud (BIM 360) on all architecture-related projects for efficient collaboration and project coordination of the design team. Duties for this position allow the team member to be fully immersed and engaged in projects from design through documentation and into construction observation. The team member will engage with clients and consultants to efficiently manage projects from beginning to end.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple projects to meet budget, schedule, scope, and quality objectives
  • Provide technical expertise to coordinate the design team and produce construction documents, drawings, specifications, and meetings
  • Oversee construction administration services
  • Client interaction and client management

Qualifications:

  • BArch or MArch degree from an accredited university
  • Licensed architect preferred
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in an architecture firm
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a Project Management role
  • Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office
  • LEED or WELL accreditation, or heavy timber experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of building codes and accessibility requirements
  • Familiarity with Ajera, Speclink, and Enscape preferred

STRUCTURAL PROJECT ENGINEER

Job Summary:

HCL has an immediate opening for a Structural Project Engineer to join the team in our Greenwood Village office! The successful candidate will be able to independently manage structural engineering projects using mature judgment and effective communication. This individual must be willing to mentor, train, and oversee junior engineering staff with an emphasis on creating well-rounded engineers. The candidate will be client-focused while managing team members, project budgets, schedules, and deliverables. Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects are essential for success.

Responsibilities:

  • Independently manage and execute building design projects
  • Lead, mentor and develop junior engineers
  • Make independent engineering decisions as a Project Manager
  • Communicate effectively with architects, clients, and other engineers
  • Perform detailed structural design for commercial buildings
  • Develop and prepare structural plans, details, specifications, and calculations
  • Adhere to project budget, schedules, and deliverable requirements

Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of experience in the design of residential and/or commercial buildings
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil (Structural) or Architectural Engineering
  • Professional or structural engineering license
  • Familiarity with the International Building Code
  • Experience designing with steel, concrete, masonry, and/or wood
  • Experience working directly with architectural clients
  • Experience with RAM, RISA 3D, ETABS, Tedds, and/or TSD software
  • Valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in the design of commercial buildings
  • 2+ years of experience in a project management role
  • Master’s Degree (structural focus) from an accredited university
  • Experience with post-tensioned concrete design and/or heavy timber
  • Experience designing buildings in Colorado’s Front Range area
  • Experience with scheduling and budgeting engineering projects

HCL has an immediate opening for a Structural Design Engineer to join the team in our Greenwood Village office! We are seeking a detail-oriented candidate with a passion for engineering excellence. The successful candidate must be willing to work in a fast-paced environment on a variety of projects. Great communication skills and an overall sense of accountability is a must. The successful candidate will demonstrate the desire and ability to grow quickly in the team environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed structural design for commercial buildings
  • Develop plans and details in Revit
  • Prepare structural calculations
  • Prepare and review engineering reports and specifications
  • Coordinate with other design disciplines

Qualifications:

  • 1-4 years of experience in the design of residential and/or commercial buildings
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil (Structural) or Architectural Engineering
  • Engineering Intern (EI) certification
  • Valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in the design of commercial buildings
  • Master’s Degree (structural focus)
