Our office is located in the Denver Tech Center off Orchard Road and I-25, or a 10-15 minute walk from the RTD Orchard Station.

ARCHITECTURAL PROJECT MANAGER / PROJECT ARCHITECT

Job Summary:

HCL is seeking two full-time, experienced, thorough, and detail-oriented Project Managers/Project Architects looking to join a new architectural department within an established multi-disciplinary firm. We anticipate that the people who fill this position will be well-rounded in a variety of building types (retail, office, civic/cultural, residential, mixed-use, municipal) with a passion for sustainable and purposeful architecture. Working alongside other in-house disciplines of Civil Engineers, Structural Engineers, and Professional Land Surveyors will ensure a cohesive design approach, which HCL leverages for streamlined project management for its public and private sector clients. HCL uses Revit and BIM 360 on all architecture-related projects for efficient collaboration and project coordination of the design team. Duties for this position allow the team member to be fully immersed and engaged in projects by developing a design through documentation and into construction observation. These team members will engage with clients and consultants to efficiently manage projects from beginning to end.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple projects to meet budget, schedule, scope, and quality objectives
  • Provide technical expertise to coordinate the design team and produce construction documents, drawings, specifications, and meetings
  • Oversee construction administration services
  • Client interaction and client management

Qualifications:

  • BArch or MArch degree from an accredited university
  • Licensed architect preferred
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in an architecture firm
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a Project Management role
  • Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office
  • LEED or WELL accreditation required, or heavy timber experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of building codes and accessibility requirements
  • Familiarity with Ajera, Speclink, and Enscape preferred

PROPOSAL COORDINATOr

Job Summary:

HCL is seeking a full-time, early-career, detail-oriented proposal coordinator to prepare proposals, presentations, and other business development collateral. We anticipate that the person who fills this position will be working primarily with our architecture department. However, proposals will also include civil and structural engineering, land surveying, and/or subsurface utility engineering. HCL uses Cosential for CRM, proposal preparation, and opportunity tracking. Responsibilities:

Duties for this position will include writing, editing, reviewing, proofreading, and producing proposals and other marketing documents, as needed.  The position will also include coordinating requests and compiling information from prime consultants requesting HCL to serve as a subconsultant.  Currently, most proposals are being sent to clients electronically. We anticipate that clients will request hard copies again after the COVID crisis. This individual should be comfortable producing, binding, and printing proposals, and delivering them to the client. This position requires patience and an eye for detail. After training, this position can be based remotely or in our Greenwood Village office. There will be occasional overtime depending on proposal deadlines. 

Qualifications:

  • College degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field
  • 5 years of experience as a proposal coordinator in an A/E firm

  • Ability to independently take a proposal from the RFP phase through to delivering the proposal to the client

  • Adobe InDesign, advanced skills

  • MS Word and PowerPoint

  • Excellent grammar, writing, and editing skills

  • Takes initiative

  • Detail oriented

  • Excellent references
  • Cosential experience preferred
