HCL was hired to build out and renovate approximately 28,000 SF at Denver International Airport, located within concourse A, for a new United Club.

The project encompassed renovations to the existing concourse level, such as adding new means of stair egress and updating the escalator footprint to accommodate a new layout, adding an entire new floor level to support most of the club functions and space, reinforcing the existing structural columns and beams as required to accommodate the new floor addition, and design of new custom lounge furniture like cantilevered banquette seating and business leaner countertops to buildout the club.

The primary structure consisted of a composite floor supported by wide-flange beams and columns. This project was developed and coordinated in BIM360 while meeting the specific modeling requirements of the airport.
