HCL was the prime consultant for the design and permitting of a medical office in an existing building in Littleton. The 2,000 SF space included 2 consultation rooms, break room, reception area, lab, and storage room with brand new finishes throughout. HCL worked with the owner and contractor in a design-build project delivery method for this 2 phased project. This project was unique due to the highly sensative lab equipment and need for back-up generator for the facility. Special consideration of the mechanical equipment required the lab space to maintain certain temperatures and humidity levels for the equipment. A portion of the lab and main storage room were located in a new building addition that was designed to reflect the existing finishes and to fit in the context of the surrounding buildings. HCL utilized its internal staff from the structural engieneering department to provide structural modifications and details for the cold-formed metal framed building addition. HCL also utilized the internal civil and survey staff to provide documentaiton for Site Development Plan and Storm Water Management Plans. HCL permitted the project through several different agencies including the City of Littleton, the South Park Owners Association, and the South Metro Fire Department.
