HCL was the prime consultant for the design of pump houses for the Fox Hollow Golf Course in Lakewood. A total of three pump houses provide water for irrigating the 27-hole course and were designed for the site-specific location and orientation to the ponds. Each pump house includes wide barn-style doors for the installation of the pump equipment skid. Additionally, a removable copula was incorporated into the design to allow for the removal of the 20’ long pumps through the roof of the buildings. This project was unique in the time frame for generating documentation so that bidding and contractor award could be finalized prior to the start of the 2021 golf season. HCL utilized its internal staff from the structural engineering department to design the foundation of these pump houses, and was also the prime point of contact for the client and coordination with the other disciplines.
