A team from HCL Engineering & Surveying volunteered their Saturday with Habitat for Humanity for a home building assignment in Denver. It was a beautiful, sunny October day for the build where the team worked on completing an ADU (Accessory Dwelling Unit). This new structure was detached from the existing home and when the team arrived on site, half of the prefabricated exterior wall panels were installed and braced in place. The HCL team installed the remaining exterior panels, braced them and also installed all of the interior prefabricated walls. The exterior wall panels were 2×6″ framing with ½” sheathing, with 2×4″ interior framing. The whole build took only 3 hours! Thank you to Habitat for giving us the opportunity to volunteer for the community! We look forward to doing this again in the future!
