Renaissance West End Flats

HCL provided civil engineering and land surveying services for this facility for the homeless.  The project consisted of 101 apartments and a 5,500 square-foot clinic on two separate parcels of land.  The challenge was to vacate the alley, relocate a public sewer line and overhead power lines, dedication of new right-of-way for the realigned alley all prior to the client closing on a 17-million dollar construction loan.  HCL was able to secure approval of the engineering documents, recording the subdivision plat to facilitate construction of the new facility.

This infill site involved provisions for underground storm detention with water quality improvements which consisted of a filtering system to meet the EPA/City storm water release requirements.  In addition to the design, HCL provided full time inspection of the sanitary sewer and storm sewer construction.
