Denver Police Operations & Firing Range

HCL to provided civil and structural engineering this project, which consisted of a new state-of-the-art 27,000 s.f. shooting range training facility, and 22,000 s.f. of existing facility renovation.  Shooting range facility is consisted of steel joist roof supported by tilt-up concrete walls up to 30’ tall, and concrete spread footings.  Roof joists also supported special ballistic ceiling consisted of solid steel plates and bullet trap was utilized in the shooting range.  Project is pursuing USGBC LEED Silver.

The civil engineering consisted of the design and entitlement of utility infrastructure, on-site roadway improvements, detailed grading, erosion control and sedimentation plans, stormwater management plans and off-site public roadway improvements.
