Castlewood Water & Sanitation District

The Castlewood Water and Sanitation District is a 1,890-acre District located in Southeast Denver, Colorado.  The District was created in 1963 with initial infrastructure built in 1964. 

The principals of HCL have been involved with management of the District’s infrastructure since 1978.  HCL has been the District Engineer for the Castlewood Water & Sanitation District since 1999 providing professional services involving annual assessments and oversight of the Districts infrastructure.  The infrastructure includes over 43 miles of pipeline, 3 sewerage lift stations and over 1,300 manholes.  HCL provides both short term (annual) assessments and long term (life cycle analysis) of the District’s infrastructure.  Budgets are provided for the maintenance and capital expenditures to maintain the districts infrastructure. In addition, HCL manages and provides oversight/inspection of the District’s maintenance contractor.  As a multi-discipline firm, HCL has provided Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Land Surveying, Construction Management and Construction Administration services.
